For someone that plays, they only have to buy expansions when those release. They may not be increasing the item level but they introduce new stat combinations which allows for a variety of builds, especially for those that don't chase after the meta.Ĥ. Also, wearing the same since 2012 is also not true. Not having to run the same content in an effort to not be left behind is bad apparently. Something that is known since before the game was released and I don't see why that is a bad thing. If I wanted those I would play other MMOs or some Bethesda game.ģ. You mean fetch quests aka "go to the question mark, kill 10 black wolves, go to the exclamation mark and get reward, then go kill 15 red wolves, get reward, then kill 20 foxes." you get where this is going. They aren't story focused games so if story is what you want, there are much better options out there.Ģ.
#Gw2 timekeeper movie#
That's kinda subjective, don't you think? I find the story in all MMOs to be like watching a relatively bad, cheaply made movie as that's pretty much the best they can achieve. Following are the reasons why gw2 is the worst mmorpg compared to WoW, FFXIV and ESO:ħ)No real competitive endgame (like heroic or mythic raids or mythic+ dungeons)ġ0)All the good looking cosmetic gear goes to the cash shop.įar from what I would call well thought out, expertly worded or in depth but I guess it'll have to do.ġ. If you want a well thought out, expertly worded and very in depth review well then here it is. Originally posted by Angoril:Thank you for the well thought out, expertly worded and very in depth review. In short: Everything is better in ESO compared to GW2. In ESO you can customise your build diversity in a lot of ways but in GW2 build diversity is non existent. In ESO after you reach level 50 a whole new progression system opens up called the Champion System where you can further increase your character power and gain over 3000 levels.ġ0)Character build diversity is better.
#Gw2 timekeeper update#
just hallow.Ĩ)Content update release schedule is betterĩ)Endgame content and progression is better. But in GW2 whenever I complete a fractal I feel nothing. When I complete a veteran dungeon in ESO I feel satisfied after getting a powerful set. Not like GW2 where you have to complete stupid hearts with no backstory behind them.Ĥ)Satisfaction is better. The quests in ESO have deep story behind them. Everything is better in ESO compared to GW2.Ģ)Gear system is better (the monster sets are awesome)ģ)Questing system is better. It has the best horizontal progression system in the entire mmo industry. ESO's horizontal progression is 100000 times better than GW2.ĮDIT 3:To all the people saying I should go play FFXIV or WoW: Right now I'm playing ESO. Another monster set I got last week from doing veteran dungeons is "Ilambris" that has 33% chance to summon a meteor shower when I deal flame damage to foes. For example: I recently got a monster set (2 set piece) called "Maw of the infernal" that has 33% chance (when I attack) to summon a huge fire breathing daegoth to attack my foes.
#Gw2 timekeeper Patch#
In every patch ESO gets new gear sets and monster sets that radically change the playstyle of all the classes. But that game did it so better than GW2 that it has become my favorite MMO right now. GW2 is the worst MMO when you compare it with ESO, FFXIV and WoW.ĮDIT 2:To all the players saying that GW2 is the best because there is no gear progression, well here's a newsflash: ESO also has horizontal progression. I purchased the physical copy of the game and I have 3 characters at max level.

Compared to WoW, FFXIV and ESO, gw2 is the worst mmorpg because of the following reasons:ģ)No gear progresson (players are wearing the same gear from 2012)Ĥ)Need to buy all patches and all expansions separately (in WoW, FFXIV and ESO we only need to buy the latest expansion and patches come free with the expansion)ĥ)No AUTOMATED dungeon finder and raid finderĨ)Dungeons are abandoned (no new dungeons in the expansions)ĮDIT 1: To all the people saying that I have not played GW2 and defending this game like a fanboy, I purchased this game when it was released way back in 2012.
